Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the current Community Guidelines.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. You may not use Meetàn if we previously suspended you for safety or policy violations.

Accounts

Provide accurate account information, maintain one authentic account, protect access to it, and promptly update information that changes. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

Meetàn does not verify every identity, run background checks on members, or guarantee that profile information is accurate.

Events and in-person safety

Meetàn helps members discover and organize events, but is not the host, venue, employer, agent, insurer, or transportation provider. Hosts and attendees are responsible for their decisions, permissions, accessibility arrangements, conduct, and compliance with law.

In-person meetings carry risks. Use your judgment, choose appropriate public settings, tell someone your plans, leave when uncomfortable, and contact emergency services when anyone is in immediate danger. Maps, locations, schedules, check-ins, capacity, and availability may be inaccurate or delayed.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Meetàn a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the service. The license ends when content is deleted, except for reasonable backups, legal retention, and content shared by others.

You must have the rights and permissions needed for anything you submit, including photos and information about other people.

We may use automated and human review to prevent, detect, restrict, or remove prohibited content. Members can report events and profiles and block other members. We may preserve and review reported material even when it is no longer publicly visible.

Prohibited conduct

Do not impersonate, deceive, scam, harass, threaten, discriminate, stalk, exploit, coerce, evade blocks, manipulate ratings, falsify check-ins, expose private information, facilitate illegal activity, create dangerous conditions, interfere with the service, scrape data, or access accounts or systems without authorization.

Follow the Community Guidelines. We may remove content, reduce distribution, restrict features, preserve evidence, suspend accounts, or report credible threats or unlawful activity.

Subscriptions and payments

Premium and Max subscriptions are sold through Apple or Google. The checkout screen shows the price and billing period before purchase. Unless canceled through your store account before renewal, subscriptions renew automatically and the store charges your saved payment method. Taxes and store terms may apply.

For eligible customers, the intended U.S. Max offer is US$99.99 for the first annual term and then US$239.99 per year. The exact localized introductory and renewal prices shown by the app store at checkout control. It remains annual and does not automatically switch to monthly billing. A separate monthly Max plan may be selected through the store. Restore purchases with the same store account. Refunds and billing disputes are handled under the applicable store rules, except where law requires otherwise.

Third-party services

Maps, app stores, rideshare links, venues, and other third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. Meetàn does not control or endorse their availability, accuracy, safety, or performance.

Termination and deletion

You may stop using Meetàn and request account deletion. Deleting an account does not cancel an app-store subscription; cancel it separately through your store account. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect members, comply with law, investigate abuse, or enforce these Terms.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent allowed by law, Meetàn is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee any member, event, venue, interaction, or outcome.

To the extent allowed by law, Meetàn and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits or data, or conduct of members or third parties. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Indemnity, law, and changes

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Yonas Ketema, doing business as meetan, from third-party claims arising from your content, event, unlawful conduct, or material breach of these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of Florida, with venue in Orange County, Florida, without overriding consumer protections that apply where you live.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be presented for renewed acceptance before continued use. If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remainder continues. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
