Meet with confidence
Safety at nearby events
Meetàn helps people find plans; it cannot verify every host, attendee, venue, or event. Use your judgment before and during any in-person meeting.
Before you go
- Review the event, host, time, and exact location.
- Choose public, familiar settings when possible.
- Tell someone where you are going and when you expect to return.
- Arrange your own transportation and an exit plan.
While you’re there
- Trust your instincts and leave whenever you feel uncomfortable.
- Protect personal and financial information.
- Do not rely on check-ins or attendance lists as identity verification.
- Respect consent, boundaries, venue rules, and local law.
Use the safety tools
Event and profile surfaces provide reporting and blocking tools. Blocking suppresses further interaction and removes the Folk relationship. Reports may be reviewed by moderators and preserved for investigation.
Immediate danger: call 911 or your local emergency number. Meetàn does not provide emergency response, transportation, security, background checks, or identity verification.
